Privacy Policy
- You upload a WhatsApp chat so an AI can write in the style of someone you lost. That chat is private and personal, and we treat it that way.
- Everything you upload is stored encrypted, with a key that belongs to your account only.
- To write a reply, a small part of your chat is sent to our AI provider (Anthropic). It is not used to train AI models.
- We never sell your data, never show ads, and never send anything on WhatsApp.
- You can download everything or delete everything yourself, at any time.
1. Who we are
Unfaded Words is provided by [company or owner name], [registered address] ("we", "us"). For anything about your privacy, write to [contact email].
2. What we collect and why

We do not collect your phone contacts, your location, or anything from WhatsApp itself. Unfaded Words never connects to WhatsApp; it only reads the export file you choose to upload.
3. Sensitive information
Your chats may contain very personal things: feelings, health, religion, family matters. Unfaded Words also reads what you write so it can notice signs of serious distress (for example thoughts of self-harm) and, if it does, pause the tribute and show you real helplines. This check happens automatically, is used only to keep you safe in that moment, and is not shared with anyone. We do not contact anyone on your behalf.
4. Other people in your chat
A chat always contains another person's words. You may only upload chats you have the right to use for your own personal remembrance. The person you remember never receives anything from Unfaded Words, and their words are never shown to anyone but you.
5. Who else handles your data (service providers)

6. How we protect your data
- Every chat, conversation, photo and wallpaper is encrypted (AES-256) with a key unique to your account. That key is itself locked with a master key kept separately.
- The connection between you and Unfaded Words is encrypted (HTTPS).
- Login uses one-time email links, so there are no passwords to steal.
- Only you can see your memories. Our admin tools show account and billing information, not your chats.
7. Keeping and deleting data
- Delete a memory: its chat, conversation, photo and wallpaper are removed immediately.
- Delete your account (Your account → Delete my account): everything above is removed immediately, your login sessions end, and your encryption key is destroyed, so even backup copies of the disk can no longer be read.
- Payment records are kept for [Lawyer/accountant: number of years required] for accounting and tax, without your email.

8. Your rights
You can at any time:
- See and take your data: Your account → Download my data (one file with all your memories).
- Correct it: change a memory's name, photo or settings, or upload a new chat.
- Delete it: delete a memory or your whole account yourself.
- Withdraw consent: stop using Unfaded Words and delete your account.
- Ask us or complain: write to [contact email]. You may also contact your data protection authority [Lawyer: data protection authority, or "the authority in your country"].
9. Children
Unfaded Words is only for adults aged 18 or older. If we learn that someone younger has an account, we will delete it.
10. Cookies and storage on your device
We use one cookie to keep you logged in. Your device also remembers your chosen appearance (light/dark and colour) and, for a moment, a gift code you opened. We use no advertising or tracking cookies.
11. Changes
If we change this policy in an important way, we will tell you in the app or by email before the change applies.
